Hanover Adventure Tours (HAT) is the Upper Valley’s premier source of adventure experiences. HAT was born out of the community’s love of the outdoors and located in Norwich, Vermont on the scenic Connecticut River.
HAT offers electric bike rentals and sales, individual and corporate tours via e-bike or private coach, hiking tours and shuttle services, water activities (including kayak, canoe and paddleboard rentals), year-round hostel accommodations and private outdoor event spaces with dock access.

Hanover Adventure Tours (HAT) has the mission to make adventure achievable to all. HAT spends time cultivating an offering of activities that brings you to all the best places, makes you feel like a part of the community, and encourages you to try something new while providing an educational, safe, and fun environment for all.
Take an electric bike rental out for a ride and explore New England! We offer over 15 models to try from, including sleek road bikes and decked out mountain bikes, as well as one-size-fits-all cruisers. Curious about what an e-bike is? E-biking is a great way to get around, and its double the fun!
Located right on the Connecticut River, HAT offers multiple water activities for you to choose from. Rental or tour options including canoeing, kayaking, and tubing (white water or a relaxing float).
Ready for a tour? HAT offers local tours to assist you in exploring New England, including our Backroads Vermont, Historical Dartmouth, Brewery & Distillery Tours, Woodstock Farmland, Sound of Music, and more. Tours are offered via private coach or e-bike.
HAT offers guided hiking groups, suggested trails, or slackpacking options. If you know where you want to go but need a ride, we are happy to provide the backroad pick-up and drop-off to make your trip the best possible.
Winter can be tough on everyone, but if you know where to go and what to do, it can be the best time of year! Explore some of our favorite suggestions throughout this New England winter wonderland during the snowy months.
Ready to buy your own electric bike? E-bikes are great options for commuting, exercising, and exploring and they are so incredibly fun. HAT offers Yamaha, Magnum, and IZip electric bike options, a bike service shop, bike accessories, company swag, and select food and beverages available at our store.
Are you interested in having a a group reunion, personal event, or corporate outing? We have a large outdoor and indoor space that we offer along with our many rentals. Our location is right on the river with dock access, and HAT partners with full service catering and bars to make your experience everything you want it to be.
Stay at the HAT Hostel for a low cost visit to the Upper Valley. We love having hikers, adventurists, or anyone who just wants to get outdoors and see the area. The hostel provides a community to visitors and we provide you with pick-up and drop-off to Hanover, NH, and Norwich, VT.
HAT offers a free community ride to enjoy biking with others and visit new spots. If you love biking or want to meet others, this ride will show you multiple great route options and provide you with the chance to meet others. Bring your own bike or rent one from us and explore the community while finding the best local spots!
